In spite of the efforts made as part of climate policy, climate protection and specific adaptation measures, residual risks remain that are leading to loss and damage.
Who is this course for?
This course mainly targets technical staff of institutions and decision-makers in developing countries that are particularly vulnerable to the adverse effects of climate change. The content is applicable to various communities (climate, disaster, development, etc.), in different sectors, and at various levels.
What will you learn?
This course provides explanations about concepts, approaches, and measures to avert, minimise, and address losses and damages – based on GIZ’s own experience and that of others, enabling partners to take action. This training aims to support the development of technical capacities and initiate dialogue among partners from the climate change adapatation and disaster risk management community.
